Monday

Reading- Watch the read aloud video of “The Recess Queen” by

Alexis O’Neill & Laura Huliska Beith on Youtube.

Writing Activity- What do you like to play at recess with your friends?

Write your story and illustrate in your writing journal.

Read to your parents for 10 minutes.

Optional: Reading Express

Math- Work on Reflex until you get your green light.  Watch brainpopjr

math video “Plane Shapes” and take the quiz.

Optional:  Prodigy or I-Ready Math

Physical Activity- Skip around the yard.

 

Tuesday

Reading- Watch the read aloud video of “A Bad Case of Stripes”

by David Shannon on Youtube.

Writing Activity- What worried you when you got ready for the

first day school?  Write a story and illustrate it.

Read to your parents for 10 minutes.

Math- Work on Reflex until you get your green light.  Watch brainpopjr

video “Polygons” and take the quiz.

Optional:  Prodigy or Math Playground

Physical Activity- Jump rope or hula hoop

 

Wednesday

Reading- Watch the read aloud video of “Seeds Move” by Robin Paige on Youtube.

Writing Activity- If you were to plant a garden what kind of seeds

would you plant and why? Write a story and illustrate it.

Read to your parents for 10 minutes.

Optional: Reading Express

Math- Work on Reflex until you get your green light. Watch

Brainpopjr math video “Quadrilaterals” and take the quiz.

Optional: Prodigy or I-Ready Math

Physical Activity- Do a “Go Noodle” exercise video.

 

Thursday

Reading- Watch the read aloud video of “The Night Gardener”

by the Fan Brothers on Youtube.

Writing Activity- What do like to do at night? Write a story and illustrate it.

Read to your parents for 10 minutes.

Math- Work on Reflex until you get your green light. Watch brainpopjr

math video “Solid Shapes” and take the quiz.

Optional:  Prodigy or Math Seeds
Physical Activity- Have a dance party or play hopscotch.

 

Friday- No Learning Opportunities - This was listed as a Strawberry Festival holiday on the school calendar.
