Hello! My name is Randa Hardin. I am so excited to be starting my 6th year teaching & my 6th year at Crockett County Middle School. Crockett County has always been home for me. I attended Bells Elementary School, Crockett County Middle School, and graduated from Crockett County High School in 2004. Following high school, I earned my Associates Degree at Jackson State Community College and then received my Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Memphis. I have a dual certification, Special Education K-12 and General Education K-6. Currently, I am working towards earning my Master’s Degree in Leadership at the University of Memphis.
My passion has always been children and making a difference. My dream, for as long as I can remember, was to be a teacher. It’s still hard to believe I am here, “living the dream”. I teach 7th grade Math, English Language Arts, and Special Education Intervention. In addition, I am the Cross Country Coach.
I am married to my husband, Ralph, and we have two children, Braylin & Jolee. My family also has two furry members: Mr. Miller (Cat) and Nellie (Catahoula Leopard Dog). In my spare time, I like to nap, spend time with my family and friends, and nap.
The year I student taught, the best teacher I have ever met, Mrs. Amy Hilliard, taught me that if you treat a student like they are smart then they will be smart. She never spoke those words to me but I saw it in her teaching and actions every single day. Now I work at being the exact same way every single day. My students are the smartest students at CCMS and are capable of doing anything they set their mind to because I believe in them.
