I am beginning my 24th year of teaching (my 21st with CCMS). I graduated from Crockett Co High School and am a Cavalier at heart. I graduated from Union University in 1997 with a degree in Learning Foundations. I began teaching 6th grade ELA at Sunny Hill School in Brownsville, TN. In 2000, my family moved back to Crockett Co, and I began teaching 8th grade math at CCMS. Throughout the years I have held many positions while at CCMS, from teacher, interventionist to instructional coach. In 2010, I graduated from Grand Canyon University with a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and returned to the classroom to teach 7th grade math.
I am a total math geek. I love to share my enthusiasm of math (solving problems, figuring it out) with my students. I hope I can instill some kind of interest in mathematical thinking in my students. Middle school students inspire me to be the best teacher I can be.
I am married to Jeff, and we have 3 children, Jordan (with grandbabies Annsley, Katelynn, Jesse & soon baby Ruth), Claiborne and Everitt. My family also has 2 fur-babies: Tilly(Boxer) and Annabelle(feline perfectus). I enjoy watching my son play football & baseball, shopping & Pinterest.
