• Alert:

The administration of Crockett County Middle School would like to take this opportunity to inform you of our new morning arrival and afternoon dismissal procedures.  We have made the decision to change our procedures due to several concerns.  First, we feel strongly that the new procedures will increase the safety of our students.  Second, we want to ensure that each student is accounted for during the dismissal process.  Finally, we want to minimize the amount of time that parents must sit in the car rider line.  You will see a drastic increase in the number of adults supervising our students during car rider dismissal.

Therefore, starting Thursday, January 6 the following will become our new arrival and dismissal procedures.

    1. 6th and 7th grade students will be dropped off in the morning and picked up in the afternoon in front of the school as they always have.  Please enter the parking lot via the north entrance.
    2. 8th grade students will be dropped off in the morning and picked up in the afternoon at the end of the new building between the middle school and the high school.  If an 8th grade student has a sibling in a lower grade, the lower grade student will go to the 8th grade hallway at dismissal and report to their sibling’s teacher.  If a 6th or 7th grade student is dropped off by a high school sibling, they may drop off at the 8th grade location as well.
    3. 8th grade parents, please form two lines after the bus exit.  Someone will be in the parking lot to help direct the traffic.  You will need to enter and exit the campus at our south entrance.
    4. We will dismiss car riders at 2:45 before the buses.  We hope this move will allow parents to get out of our parking lot prior to the high school students being dismissed.  With the move, we ask that no vehicles enter the bus loading zone from either direction.
    5. Buses will leave CCMS at 2:50 as normal.

We ask that no one enter the campus using the center entrance. That will be an exit only for cars and an entrance for buses only.

There is a visual posted on our Facebook page and our website.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.  Working together, we can ensure that all students are dismissed safely, and all parents can get through our campus quickly.

If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at the school.
