My name is Miss Britney. I am a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin with a bachelor's of science in agriculture degree. I teach Agriscience, Natural Resources Management, Plant and Soil Science, Greenhouse, and Landscaping and Turf Science.
To teach is to inspire students to want to learn. Not every day in the classroom is the same...especially an Agriculture class. My goal as an educator is to provide a learning experience that students look forward to. We may spend class outside under a shade tree, in the greenhouse, or on the school bus. Offering students opportunities that do not involve a projector and notebook is something I take pride in. Offering diverse learning environments only enhances the education of the student. I always strive to extend educational opportunities beyond the walls of my classroom. Students are often overwhelmed by the ACT, EOCs, and many other state mandated tests. To students who may not be the best test takers, I strive to ensure that they all excel in what's happening in Ag class during those times. Something that I think so many miss is that we have to remember that it is not how smart they are but how they are smart.
