I am so excited to finally be back at school!!! I absolutely love teaching at CCHS, and I hope that y'all are as excited about coming back as I am!
This will be my 28th year as an English teacher. I spent my first 18 years at Haywood High School, from which I am a graduate, and then I spent 5 years at North Side High School before coming to Crockett! I needed to get back to people who know what hunting season it is, ride 4-wheelers, and watch SEC football!!!
I received my BA in English from Lambuth University many years ago. I also have an MS from the University of Memphis in Instruction and Curriculum as well as an MA in English from Southern New Hampshire University. I absolutely love to read literature and write about it as I look for the many different nuances within a work. I also love to hear what other people discover within a work and the many connections that others can make with writing.
My husband and I have been married for 38 years, and we have two fabulous children. Lewis (the hubs) is so much cooler than I am as he is a retired police investigator and currently works as a forensic investigator. Perhaps, if luck is with us, he will be able to pay us a visit and share his exciting adventures! Lewis and I are also very proud of our roles as Chickie and PawPaw to our two adorable grandchildren, Riley and Spencer. You will hear about them quite frequently : )
I am looking forward to this school year, and I hope that we get to have some great bonding and learning time in class. Like I said, I love being an English teacher, and I love teaching at CCHS. If you need me, feel free to drop me an email or come by my room. I love to chat with my kiddos!!
See y'all soon!
